2)静岡県民を対象とした四季の食事調査を基にわが国の効果的な健康づくり政策を確立する栄養疫学研究 (J-MICC Sakura Diet Study)
生活習慣病の一次予防に資するため、ヒトゲノム、腸内常在菌プロファイル、尿中メタボローム、茶および尿中カテキン濃度、赤血球膜中の脂肪酸構成割合などの測定データ、各種の健康診断項目、食生活習慣要因からなるメガデータの相互関連および四季変動を検討している。

教育・研究に対する考え方

学生教育: 新しい切り口で生活習慣病の一次予防対策の立案と実践ができるように、日本、アジア、欧米諸国の栄養疫学研究の最新の報告書 (統計データを含む: 英文) を理解することを目指します。そして、時間、地理、民族 (文化および遺伝子要因を含む) などの要因別に、食生活と疾病構造の関連を系統的にまとめて Evidence Based Nutritionを構築するための高度な専門知識と技能を取得した人材の育成に努めたいと考えています。
研究: がん、循環器疾患、糖尿病、骨粗鬆症などの生活習慣病や認知症の発症予防に対して、1) 従来は検討できなかった病因や病態の解明、2) 新しい診断、治療の方法の確立、3) 新現象の発見や新しい仮説の提言を実現したいと考えています。同時に、国民がその成果を享受できるように、4) 医療や健診・検診に導入し、5) 食生活の改善による一次予防の効果をフォローアップできる体制の確立を目指しています。
